Topic Title: random segmentation aults

Building from an existing Gentoo brings a lot of segmentation faults. do that from another distro (like knoppix) all works fine. Ive tested with all kind of CFLAGS from "-02 -march=i686" to more optimized builds (-fomit-frame-pointer a.s.o).what is your host-distro to start building gentoo? has someone similar trouble?
